Invertebrates are vital to healthy ecosystems.

A recently published report by the River Dee Trust  on samples taken on the Rivers Gairn and Clunie and the Dee near Ballater last year indicated these were all in good condition for invertebrates such as the mayfly, stonefly and caddisfly. The ASPT scores (a measure of water quality for invertebrates) were ‘excellent’ on all three rivers.

Credit is due to all our staff and farm tenants for helping to look after the water environment on Invercauld so well.
