Philip Farquharson of Invercauld, Chief of Clan Farquharson, welcomed His Majesty The King to Station Square in Ballater on 12 August 2025.
His Majesty reviewed the new Clan Farquharson banner, the Chief’s coat of arms on a striking white background highlighted with a golden tassel surround, before inspecting a guard of honour of the Invercauld Highlanders who were reconstituted by Philip a few years ago.
The Pipes and Drums of the Scots College, Sydney, Australia provided a superb accompaniment including a medley of Scotland the Brave and Waltzing Matilda!
